Are you looking for a fulfilling way to invest your time and skills? Apply to join the Locally Haiti Associate Board and play an integral role in supporting local community leaders in rural Haiti.

Our Associate Board is made up of community, civic, and corporate leaders who understand and believe in our mission and are dedicated to engaging their own communities. Associate Board Members serve as ambassadors and advocates, helping to expand our impact by opening doors to new networks and resources.

  • You’re dedicated to evolving the “single story” narrative by learning about and sharing Haiti’s vibrant culture of creativity, beauty, and possibility.

YOUR ROLE AS AN ASSOCIATE BOARD MEMBER

Members commit to at least one year of service, with a goal of raising awareness and funds in support of Locally Haiti'’s mission. Here’s what you can expect to do as an Associate Board member:

  • When applicable, leverage your professional skills and talents to support our work in Haiti

  • Volunteer at one event annually

  • Create and work toward a fundraising goal, in collaboration with the Locally Haiti team (Our approach is relationship-based and low pressure. Fundraising is a big part of what we do, but we’ll meet you where you are and support you along the way!)

  • Work with our team to develop your own outreach project, such as hosting a gathering, leading a book club, or participating in networking events

  • Join a committee focused on one of our programs in education, agriculture, girls' empowerment, or community health

  • Aim to make 5 direct introductions to Locally Haiti staff annually

  • Participate in at least 4 of 6 bi-monthly Associate Board meetings

  • Attend our annual events: Evening for Haiti and our Farm Dinner

  • Join our team on a trip to Petit Trou (optional)
