October 18, 2016 – Tate’s Latest Report – PDF – Tate Lowrey, our in-country Operations and Program Director, spent a few days in Petit Trou last week, speaking with as many people as possible in both the St. Paul’s community, and the broader reaches of Petit Trou. She was able to take some photos, visit with friends and record accounts of the resources which remain and the challenges ahead as seen by the people.
URGENT CAUSE – Hurricane Matthew – Click the link and donate now to aid recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew for the region of Petit Trou de Nippes. Our community there has been hard hit, and we expect extensive property damage, water contamination and food insecurity in the coming days.
August 31, 2016 – CHP Receives 2016 UTO Grant – The Colorado Haiti Project is unbelievably honored to have received a United Thank Offering grant to further our program work in agriculture and vocational opportunity in Petit Trou.
July 19, 2016 – Dr. Eben Carsey – Eben Carsey has been involved with CHP since 1999. He is a deeply spiritual man with a quirky sense of humor (listen to his voicemail). In his free time, you’ll find him adventuring in the outdoors, and, most importantly, spending time with his adorable family!

June 21, 2016 – Posner Photo Contest: Colorado Haiti Project has won the The Posner Center‘s first annual photo contest. The contest invited all member organizations to submit an image showcasing the heart and spirit of their work. We’re so pleased to have been chosen, and especially grateful to Marianne Martin from Real Life Portraits for capturing this wonderful moment of joy in education.
June 11, 2016 – Community Mapping in Haiti: On a recent trip to Haiti, our partner Boulder Community Health spent time teaching our community health workers about community mapping – how’s it’s done and how it can be a powerful tool in public health. The maps turned out wonderfully, and helped identify members of the community that require more monitoring, such as pregnant women and new born children.
